Information Sheet
Business consultancy that works. We not only work with you to identify the issues, we help you to solve them.Too many times consultants approach clients from a purely "consult and leave" point of view. We put in place actions that are identified with you, from the work that we carry out, to ensure continuos improvements are made. We also can build in short refreshers and milestone checks that ensure that you are on course.
A typical programme might consist of the following elements, but we would establish the right combination just for you. Some areas may not be necessary and others may be given more focus.
P1 - Company direction workshop. This will establish the long-term aims, goals and overall vision of your company as a business. The output will be collated and documented.
Duration: half-day
P2 - Business strategy workshop. This examines the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) for your business. These are linked back into the previously gathered goals to determine the correct strategies that the business should undertake. Milestones, critical success factors (CSF) and measurable actions are established. A business plan that documents the two workshop (P1 & P2) outputs is prepared and reviewed with you.
Duration: 1 day Workshop & half-day Review.
P3 - Business process mapping. Using simple mapping and charting tools the existing major business processes that require administration time and attention are gathered. These are laid out clearly and documented such that there is an understanding of how they integrate together and where bottlenecks or duplication may occur. This requires a period of basic data capture through one-on-one sessions with the responsible owner of the business process.
Duration: 3 days (which can be split to allow for fitting into your work flow).
Upon completion of the above, a comparison with best practice for the type of workflow will be made and recommendations of streamlining and better integration given. A session with all business process owners will be held to review recommendations and determine the best way of implementing such.
Duration: half-day.
P4 – Management monitoring and continuous improvement. Using the Kaizen principles of continuous improvement and concepts such as the Balanced Scorecard, a convenient and easy to use set of management measures will be set in place. If required we can work with your Accountants to determine monthly key measures that will allow a snapshot of financial performance against agreed goals. We would also agree with you other key measurements that would be regularly reviewed to ensure the business is on track. The intent is not to make it onerous to carry out these reviews, so that it takes minimum time and thus ensures the reviews are regularly done.
Duration: 1 day (measurement determination) & 1 day (coaching)
